Albatros

The albatross is magnificent in flight but clumsy on deck under the weight of its own wings. MENDITTOROSA Albatros captures precisely that Baudelairean contrast: the freedom of the open sky and the discomfort when sensitivity descends among people.

A clean, aquatic, and ozonic-anise note opens the extrait like a cold wind over the sea. Modern rose and rose absolute enter this air unexpectedly, without classic powdery warmth.

Pineapple provides a brief juicy flash, but it doesn't turn the composition into a tropical perfume. With aquatic tones, it appears bright and almost transparent, while cashmeran wood begins to create a softer surface beneath the rose.

Anne Sophie Baeghel created Albatros as the third and final chapter of Mendittorosa's Versi collection, an olfactory study of the relationship between perfume and poetry. The inspiration is Baudelaire's poem of the same name from his collection "Les Fleurs du Mal," published in 1857.

Moroccan and Virginian cedarwood, Haitian vetiver, and white musk gradually replace the vastness of the sea with a dry woody trail. The scent does not collapse into heaviness; it retains enough air for the rose to still feel like something carried by the wind.

Albatros is not a typical beach aquatic. It is a rose between ozone, ocean, and two cedarwoods — a wide wingspan in a bottle that understands how close flight and fall can be.
