Amber & Rosewood

The vintage character here comes not from powder or lipstick, but from polished wood, nutmeg, and dark amber. MAISON LABEL Amber & Rosewood smells like a wooden interior that years have made smoother, not older.

Lemon and bergamot provide an initial flash, but nutmeg introduces a warm, dry spiciness almost immediately. The citrus therefore doesn't remain fleeting; it acts like a brief highlight on a lacquered surface.

Cedarwood and rosewood form the heart of the perfume. One is drier and more linear, the other softer and more aromatic, and oud between them deepens the shadow without a distinctly animalic or medicinal character.

Angela Ciampagna composed the scent so that the wood doesn't get lost when sweet notes appear. Vanilla and benzoin arrive in a rich base, but amber and sandalwood keep the warmth firm and serious.

The development progresses from a bright spice to an increasingly darker, balsamic smoothness. Towards the end, the oud almost merges with the sandalwood, while the vanilla remains more of a sheen over the wood than a separate gourmand layer.

Amber & Rosewood can be used for layering, but it already tells a complete story on its own. Its signature is rosewood coated with benzoin, vanilla, and oud — an old cabinet after its doors are reopened.
