Composed by Claude Dir

The phoenix rose from the ashes, but what remained was not smoke but purified warmth. ZAHAROFF Basileus The Oracle extrait is about the moment when the answer comes quietly, without the need for a dramatic entrance.

Pink pepper, bergamot, and lemon give the opening a bright, restrained glow. The citrus doesn't last as the main theme; it serves as a brief clarification before warmer spices.

Nutmeg and cinnamon bark lead to cypriol, frankincense, and olibanum. The heart is dry, resinous, and meditative, more like glowing embers than a cloud of smoke.

Claude Dir created The Oracle for Basileus, George Zaharoff's private collection outside the Signature line. The idea is not about predicting the future, but rather the inner clarity that emerges when you stop seeking external noise.

Ambergris, cedar, Orcanox, and Santamanol then create a polished woody warmth. Tonka, Siamese benzoin, patchouli, and musk leave a long echo, but the base is neither dessert-sweet nor heavy.

If you expect a loud oriental declaration, The Oracle speaks too softly for that. This is cinnamon and olibanum over cedar, benzoin, and ambergris — an answer you hear only when the space finally falls silent.
