Bergamote Twist

Bergamot is usually used as an introduction; here it refuses to leave the stage after the first act. JUL ET MAD Bergamote Twist takes the familiar citrus and gives it pepper, cardamom, vanilla, and amber weight.

Bergamot and CO2 extract of pink pepper open the perfume luminously, with a bitter and spicy touch. Instead of simple freshness, you get the sensation of citrus peel under your fingers, with tiny peppery tingles.

Cardamom introduces a cool aromatic dryness and prolongs the bright part of the composition. The element listed as Cyprus provides a darker transition towards the base, so bergamot gets a firmer frame instead of simply evaporating.

Luca Maffei envisions it as a reinvention of the iconic bergamot note. The chypre character here does not feel old-fashioned; spices and contemporary amber materials give it a cleaner, smoother line.

Vanilla and ambroxan later soften the bitterness. The perfume becomes warmer, slightly powdery and sweet, but the citrus remains recognizable as a yellow glow above the skin.

Bergamote Twist is not a cologne that lasts only half an hour. Its signature is bergamot stretched over cardamom, vanilla, and ambroxan — a citrus that remains even after the light changes.
