Cédrat Gingembre

Citron has a rougher rind and less obvious sweetness than a regular lemon. JUL ET MAD Cédrat Gingembre combines that very dryness with icy ginger and three different woods.

Citron, bergamot, and lime open the perfume sharply, naturally, and very brightly. Citron essential oil provides the main character, emphasizing the bitter rind rather than juicy citrus pulp.

Icy ginger cuts through the citrus like a cold metal blade. Its spiciness doesn't immediately warm; it first creates a clean, almost frozen sensation that energizes the composition.

Luca Maffei doesn't try to overcomplicate the core idea. He extends the freshness with an aromatic transition towards musk and wood, so the scent doesn't disappear as soon as the most volatile citruses fade.

Sandalwood, guaiac wood, and cedarwood in the base provide three different textures: smooth, smoky, and dry. Musk binds them to the skin, while citron remains as a pale, bitter streak above the woody finish.

Cédrat Gingembre is not a sweet beach lemonade. Its signature is icy ginger in citron rind, cedar, and guaiac wood—a citrus that has found a way to survive its own opening.
