Champs de Mai

The May rose here is not dark, velvety, or enveloped in incense. LE GALION Champs de Mai depicts it in the middle of a spring day, surrounded by fruits and young flowers while the petals are still full of freshness.

The rose opens with apricot and red apple, which give it a juicy, slightly crisp hue. Centifolia rose then enhances its fullness without venturing into thick, jam-like sweetness.

Peony and lily of the valley bring a cooler floral freshness. Rosyfolia®, an exclusive molecule with a fruity rose scent, further expands the composition and makes it more radiant.

Champs de Mai is one of the house's rare early creations, conceived even before Paul Vacher took over Le Galion. In 2020, Quentin Bisch reworked the original formula into a fresh, contemporary rose that doesn't lose its connection to the spring fields from its name.

Ambroxan later appears as a clean, woody-musky base. The fruit becomes more discreet, but the rose doesn't darken; it remains airy and luminous, with a subtle trace of apple on the skin.

If you want a dramatic rose for an evening, this will be too bright. Champs de Mai is a May rose with apricot, red apple, and lily of the valley — a flower captured before spring transitions into summer.
