Tuberose Leather Styrax Honey Moss Ylang-ylang Siamese benzoin Sandalwood Patchouli Vetiver Amber

Composed by Andreas Wilhelm

The grand French tuberose enters like a lady who knows the whole room will turn. SARAH BAKER Charade gives her honey, ylang-ylang, and leather, classic enough for old Europe and mischievous enough not to end up as a museum exhibit.

Tuberose and ylang-ylang open the extrait creamy, buttery, and opulent. Honey enhances their warmth, but the flowers remain strong enough not to be swallowed by sweetness.

Tea provides a drier respite, while styrax and benzoin create a resinous, slightly smoky depth. Leather appears as a small transgression beneath all that elegance, more like a glove after midnight than a heavy jacket.

Andreas Wilhelm constructs the composition as a meeting of vintage grand dame and modern delight. Rose feels like part of a classic floral posture, but tuberose remains the true heroine.

Amber, vetiver, moss, and sandalwood in the base bring the flowers to a warm, chypre-like ground. Honey becomes darker, leather softer, and tuberose maintains its presence deep into the drydown.

Charade is not a shy white floral. It is tuberose steeped in honey, tea, and mischievous leather — a lady who knows the rules perfectly precisely so she can break them.
