Cologne Nocturne

A white shirt left on crumpled bedding in the early morning speaks louder than a neatly stored suit. LE GALION Cologne Nocturne takes the discipline of a cologne and lets it spend a night out.

Bergamot and lemon appear briefly, bright and almost fleetingly. Rosewood then provides a warmer, aromatic transition towards lavender, sage, rosemary, and thyme.

The herbs feel crushed and alive, halfway between a cologne and a fougère. There's no watery freshness or sugar; the entire middle remains dry, green, and slightly rough.

Rodrigo Flores-Roux created Cologne Nocturne in 2016, along with a reissue of Cologne. Instead of another version for a hot afternoon, he envisioned a contemporary herbal-woody elixir for the evening.

Cedarwood and patchouli later straighten the composition and give it a more serious finish. The citrus disappears, the aromatic herbs become darker, and the cedar leaves a dry trail on the skin and fabric.

Cologne Nocturne is not just Cologne with less light. It's lavender and thyme over cedar and patchouli — the scent of a shirt that only returned home after sunrise.
