Apple Sage Milk Heliotrope Lily-of-the-valley Violet Jasmine Musk Vetiver Benzoin Amber Cedarwood

Composed by Nathalie Feisthauer

A calf's first steps are not elegant: its legs tremble, its muzzle seeks its mother, and the reward is warm milk. ZOOLOGIST Cow transforms this scene into the scent of a green meadow, apples, delicate flowers, and the safety of home.

Sage provides an aromatic green opening, while apple and milk create a soft contrast of fresh fruit and creamy warmth. The milky tone is neither dense nor confectionery; it is more reminiscent of clean, warm skin.

Lily of the valley, heliotrope, violet, and jasmine sway through the middle like tiny flowers among the grass. Heliotrope adds a powdery softness, and lily of the valley preserves the feeling of morning air.

Nathalie Feisthauer places the composition in a pasture beneath mountains, with clouds whose shadows glide over a peaceful herd. The scene is bucolic, yet very concrete in its blend of grass, muzzle, milk, and the first standing up.

Cedarwood, vetiver, benzoin, amber, and musks later provide a warmer, dry base. Zoologist does not use animal products; the musk effect is achieved with synthetic materials.

Cow is not a milky gourmand nor a childish apple scent. It is fresh apple with warm milk, sage, and meadow flowers — the scent of a place the body recognizes as home.
