Composed by Cécile Zarokian

The deep blue sea here first smells of the peel of four citruses, and only then of salt and tropical flower. JACQUES FATH Curacao Bay is not a cold aquatic, but a cheerful marine composition with a warm floral edge.

Lemon, mandarin, orange, and petitgrain bigarade open the perfume broadly and sparklingly. Petitgrain adds a leaf and a twig, so the citrus freshness is not just sweet juice.

Green and marine tones then create a sense of open space. There is no heavy salt or dark algae; the sea is clean, airy, and calm enough for flowers to be felt through it.

Cécile Zarokian places frangipani in the middle, creamy and sunny against the cooler marine accord. Blackcurrant adds a slight tart depth and prevents the tropical image from becoming completely carefree.

As the citruses fade, the marine tones remain connected to the greenery, frangipani, and blackcurrant. The finish is softer and warmer, but still carries the impression of air above the water.

Curacao Bay is not a coconut vacation on the sand. It is frangipani over petitgrain, blackcurrant, and the deep blue sea — a bay that is sunny, but never cloyingly sweet.
