Dolls

The love in this story is not gentle, but so complete that it borders on madness. MOTH AND RABBIT Dolls translates it into extravagant colors, a heavy animalic body, and the cold scent of snow that cuts through everything.

Cherry and apple blossoms, orange blossom, ylang-ylang, and rose oil create an almost unreal floral layer. Geranium and davana give it an aromatic, fruity-liqueur tension.

The sweet maple accord and musk thicken the florals, while ambergris and animalic tones introduce a weight that can simultaneously attract and repel.

Mark Buxton builds the composition around an unreal story of uncompromising love. The fragrance intentionally feels heavy and carnal, then a snowflake accord interrupts it with a coldness that doesn't belong to the rest of the scene.

Cedarwood later provides a drier structure beneath the musk and florals. Snow remains as a pale, cold void between dense animalic and sweet tones.

Dolls is not a romantic floral perfume despite its bouquet. It is maple sweetness and animalic musk under unreal snow — a love so colorful that only up close do you see how disturbed it is.
