Wormwood Violet Leaf Basil Ginger Lavender Geranium Rosemary Vetiver Cedarwood Patchouli Frankincense

Composed by Julien Rasquinet

A fresh perfume at a 25 percent concentration sounds almost unreasonable. LE GALION Eau Folle finds freedom precisely in this: it projects aromatic herbs with great power, then holds them for hours on damp wood and resins.

Basil, wormwood, and violet leaf open the extrait bitter, green, and very lively. Ginger adds a spicy energy, while wormwood leaves an almost medicinal sharpness.

Rosemary, geranium, and lavandin create an aromatic heart that recalls a grand eau fraîche, but without its usual transience. The herbs feel crushed and damp, not neatly arranged.

Julien Rasquinet launched this version in 2025, borrowing the name of a discontinued creation from the seventies. It pays homage to Paul Vacher, who as early as 1953 with Whip began exploring brighter notes paired with stronger bases.

Vetiver, patchouli, cedar, and olibanum later provide a diffuse, damp-woody finish. The initial bitterness doesn't disappear; it moves into the roots and smoke.

Eau Folle is not a light scent you apply without thinking. It is 25 percent wormwood, basil, damp wood, and olibanum — an eau fraîche that acts as if it has never heard it should be short-lived.
