White flowers burn by the highway, motor oil glistens on the asphalt, and someone is opening mezcal while sparks still fly. SARAH BAKER Flame & Fortune blends purity with smoke and makes no attempt to hide the stains.
Orange blossom, pink pepper, and apricot open the extrait brightly, juicy, and spicy. Ginger accelerates the composition, while lily of the valley and tuberose bring a white floral tension.
Tuberose is sensual and full, but motor oil immediately changes its context. Instead of a garden, you get a roadside, metal, and a black stain spreading beneath the petals.
Sarah Baker builds the composition as a moment of anticipation where every sense is heightened. Mezcal brings an alcoholic, smoky warmth, and the glow leaves the impression that the scene has not yet cooled.
Labdanum later connects the motor oil, mezcal, and the burnt edges of the flowers. Apricot becomes darker, tuberose smokier, and the finish warm and resinous.
Flame & Fortune is not a white floral perfume with an unusual base. It is tuberose set ablaze with motor oil, mezcal, and glowing labdanum — purity that has survived the fire but is no longer white.
