Fugit Amor

Love that flees leaves behind not roses, but an accelerated air full of pepper, ginger, and dry wood. JUL ET MAD Fugit Amor builds tension between a cold opening and the warmth trying to catch up to it.

Pink pepper, elemi, and ginger open the extrait bright, resinous, and spicy. Elemi adds a lemony coolness, while ginger propels the composition forward.

Cardamom and cinnamon then change the temperature. Cardamom remains dry and aromatic, and cinnamon introduces a warmer, more intimate side without turning the scent into a gourmand.

Stéphanie Bakouche places vetiver at the center. Its earthy, upright dryness separates the spicy opening from the cedarwood and gives the perfume a sense of movement without losing control.

Amber and musk later warm the vetiver and cedar. The pepper subsides, but the composition retains a slight tension as if the distance between two people is diminishing, yet never completely disappears.

Fugit Amor is not a romantic perfume with obvious sweetness. It is vetiver haunted by pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and warm amber — a love you feel precisely because it constantly eludes you.
