Ganja Oud

Cannabis and oud already promise darkness in the name, but this perfume first opens a window with chamomile and sour rhubarb. JUL ET MAD Ganja Oud starts green and unusually fresh before descending into black wood and amber.

Cannabis, chamomile, and rhubarb create an herbal, bitter, and tart opening. Pink pepper adds a subtle spiciness, and galbanum enhances the feeling of crushed green stems.

Chamomile doesn't act like a calming tea; with cannabis and galbanum, it becomes dry, almost medicinal. Rhubarb gives it a sour tension that long stands in contrast to the warmer base.

Luca Maffei builds the composition as a narcotic journey through nature, but without obvious incense or sweet haze in the official list of notes. The main transition leads from fresh greenery straight to oud and wood.

Oud, cedar, black amber, and sandalwood later take over the perfume. Sandalwood smooths out the darker materials, while black amber leaves a deep warmth beneath the dry cedar.

Ganja Oud is not a sweet oud with a discreet grassy note. It is cannabis with chamomile, sour rhubarb, and black amber — a green entrance to a windowless wooden room.
