Helion

Summer doesn't have to smell only of citrus and coconut. Helion combines the cool sparkle of champagne with solar florals and creamy woods, like a Mediterranean day that starts by the sea and ends on sun-warmed skin.

Yuzu, bergamot, grapefruit, and lemon sorbet provide a bright, sparkling entrance. Champagne accentuates their fizzy freshness, while cardamom beneath the citrus leaves a thin, dry spicy note.

Then, tiare, ylang-ylang, and orange blossom unfold. Monoi lends them a skin-like warmth, white tea maintains airiness, and driftwood introduces a dry texture that sets the composition apart from classic tropical perfumes.

Christian Carbonnel does not build Helion around one dominant accord. Citruses gradually transition into white flowers, then into sandalwood, amber, and musk, without an abrupt shift from a fresh opening to a warm base.

If you're looking for salty sea freshness or a simple coconut scent for the beach, Helion goes in a different direction. This is a more refined depiction of summer, with enough vanilla and tonka for creamy softness, but without the impression of a heavy dessert.

Towards the end, sandalwood, white amber, and vanilla remain, softened by tonka and musk — the light of a late afternoon preserved in warm, smooth wood.
