Composed by Rodrigo Flores-Roux

One scent on an English teacher was enough for Rodrigo Flores-Roux to want to become a perfumer. Many years later, he was the one who brought back LE GALION Jasmin, the floral chypre that changed the course of his life at that time.

Guinean orange, cumin, and cyclamen provide a brief fresh, green, and slightly carnal opening. Then, a duo of jasmine unfolds: Chinese sambac brings greener herbaceous accents, and a special quality of Vintage Le Galion adds a fruitier, velvety richness.

Ylang-ylang from Comoros, narcissus, and lily enhance its wild florality. Jasmin doesn't sit alone in a vase; it spreads, becoming sunny and almost boisterous, with a narcissistic green bitterness at its core.

Paul Vacher created the original in 1937 as one of his soliflores. Flores-Roux excitedly reinterpreted it for Le Galion in 2020, not as a neutral historical task, but as a return to the perfume that ignited his interest in the profession.

Patchouli, vetiver, and oakmoss ground the flowers into a classic chypre base. Leather pulls a modest yet suggestive veil over it; the greenery gradually darkens, while jasmine retains a velvety trail.

This is not a polite jasmine for the edge of the room. This is jasmine in full force, with cumin, narcissus, moss, and a thin leather glove — a perfume that showed one English student his future profession.
