Jasmine Leather

In Florence, for centuries, the scent of flowers from gardens and leather from workshops intertwined. EAU D'ITALIE Jasmine Leather reduces this Renaissance pairing to a few materials, allowing them to touch without excessive embellishment.

Elemi gives the opening an airy, lemony-resinous sparkle, while saffron immediately dries it and lightly tinctures it with leather. Within this tension, jasmine emerges soft, warm, and bodily enough not to feel like a pure white flower.

The leather doesn't appear as a black motorcycle jacket. It is aromatic, smooth, and warmed, more like the interior of a Florentine workshop where flower petals have accidentally fallen onto processed material.

Amandine Clerc-Marie keeps the entire composition close to the core idea: the softness of jasmine envelops a leathery heart, while elemi and saffron define the transition between light and warmth.

Patchouli and cedarwood later provide a dry foundation. Jasmine darkens, the leather becomes calmer, and the initial resinous freshness remains only as a thin sheen on the woody surface.
