Leopard

A leopard does not hide its spots or blend into the furniture. SARAH BAKER Leopard enters with the scent of frankincense, pepper, and rose, utterly convinced that the night belongs to it.

Olibanum, black pepper, cardamom, and galbanum open the extrait resinous, spicy, and green. Cassis adds a dark, tart fruitiness, like the first flash of scandal beneath a classic-cut surface.

Rose and violet give the heart a noble, somewhat old-fashioned character. But Ashley Eden Kessler doesn't leave the flowers demure: patchouli, vetiver, and labdanum soon push them towards earth, resin, and nocturnal warmth.

The inspiration is decadent excess, privilege, and the feeling that an epic evening is brewing. Leopard, as a symbol of power and hedonism, matches a formula that doesn't pretend to be modest, even when it gets close to the skin.

Sandalwood, ambroxan, castoreum, beeswax, cashmeran, and musk later create a rich animalic texture. Wax and labdanum shine, castoreum snarls beneath the rose, and cashmeran coats everything with soft fur.

Leopard is not for an evening where you want to go unnoticed. It is a rose in a fur of castoreum, wax, labdanum, and black pepper — a noble beast that promises scandal upon entry.
