Lys Nobilis

The lily has been a sign of kings for centuries, but here it doesn't stand stiffly on a coat of arms. JUL ET MAD Lys Nobilis gives it a citrus light, a soft peach blossom, and a warm base that brings it down from the throne directly onto the skin.

Bergamot, clementine, and peach blossom open the Eau de Parfum brightly, juicy, and gently fruity. The citruses don't stay alone for long; their role is to illuminate the central flower, not to act as a cologne-like introduction.

The lily then takes over the composition with a full, elegant florality. The symbol of femininity, love, passion, and admiration gets a more modern frame here: there's no heavy churchy impression or cold, waxy distance.

Luca Maffei builds the entire fragrance as a direct ode to the noblest flower. Instead of many details around it, he uses carefully measured contrasts that highlight its purity and strong projection.

Patchouli and white woods in the base provide solidity, while vanilla and musk round out the trail. The peach blossom becomes softer, the lily warmer, and the finish remains long and neatly woody.
