Mudéjar - Obscur

Night passes through the perforated wall of an Andalusian palace, and rose and frankincense remain in the courtyard along with the shadow. MAJDA BEKKALI Mudéjar - Obscur is a darker walk through the same architecture, with more amber, patchouli, and oud.

Blackcurrant and pink pepper open the extrait tartly, dark fruity, and spicy. The blackcurrant gives an almost inky color, while the pepper allows short sparks to pass through it, like light through stone lace.

Frankincense and roses occupy the heart. The flower is full and warm, but the smoke doesn't allow it to become romantic; oud and patchouli beneath it build a dark earthy-woody depth.

Marie Schnirer finds inspiration in the Mudéjar art of Andalusia between the 12th and 16th centuries. In it, Islamic, Christian, and Jewish influences merge in churches with arabesques, bell towers resembling minarets, and palaces with hidden courtyards.

Atlas cedar, cashmeran, ambroxan, and amber later create a warm, elegant framework. The pepper subsides, the blackcurrant fades, and the rose remains between dry cedar and resinous darkness.

Mudéjar - Obscur is not just a stronger Clair. It is a nocturnal rose behind a lace of frankincense, oud, cedar, patchouli, and amber — a sacred Andalusian house whose true splendor is only seen in shadow.
