Coffee and mango rarely share the same table, but here, it's precisely their collision that ignites a full-blown addiction. VERTUS Narcos'is blends bitterness, tropical fruit, and warm amber into a perfume that is simultaneously juicy and dark.
Coffee, rhubarb, and mandarin open the composition with bitter, tart, and citrus notes. Cardamom between them brings a cool spicy tension, like an aromatic bridge to a much riper fruity heart.
Mango then takes over with sweetness, but rhubarb leaves it with a tart edge. Ginger enhances the freshness and creates a sense of movement, while peach adds a soft, velvety pulp.
The formula is signed by Vertus Paris, and the name aptly describes how the contrasts circle back. Coffee draws towards the dark side, mango brings back color, and cardamom and ginger prevent the composition from settling.
Later, amber, ambergris, and vetiver create a warm, salty-dry base. The coffee becomes softer, the fruit darker, and vetiver leaves an earthy cut beneath the amber richness.
Narcos'is is not a coffee gourmand nor a typical tropical fruit perfume. It is an espresso with mango, rhubarb, ginger, peach, and salty ambergris — a combination the mind might reject, but the nose seeks again.
