Atlas Cedar Virginia Cedar Aldehydes Ozone notes Black Pepper Calabrian Bergamot Haitian Vetiver Nutmeg Patchouli Floral notes Jasmine

Composed by Anne-Sophie Behaghel

A freshly sharpened pencil on clean white paper describes this scent more precisely than the word "fresh." MENDITTOROSA North smells of a quiet room where children are drawing, green leaves in the light, and Swedish sauna wood.

Italian bergamot, black pepper, and aldehydes open the extrait brightly, coolly, and cleanly. An ozonic flower spreads whiteness, while soft jasmine adds just enough warmth to prevent the scene from becoming sterile.

Atlas and Virginian cedar then create the impression of a pencil, planks, and a dry Scandinavian interior. Nutmeg introduces a quiet spicy warmth, like a sauna beginning to heat up.

Anne-Sophie Behaghel created North as one half of a love story of opposites. Scandinavia and the Mediterranean, two souls and two cultures, are drawn to each other in the pair North and South; they can be worn separately or layered.

Haitian vetiver and Indonesian patchouli later provide a rooty, earthy base. Aldehydes recede, cedar remains precise, and bergamot transforms into a nostalgia for light on green leaves.

North is not cold just because it looks towards Scandinavia. It is a perfectly sharpened pencil between bergamot, ozonic flower, two cedars, and vetiver — the scent of a white page still waiting for its South.

One user specifically emphasized that the scent faithfully evokes Alpine meadows and mountains, with dry cedar and the impression of fresh mountain air.
