At the very edge, the garden stiffens, petals close, and the only light must find a crack through the darkness. MENDITTOROSA Orlo is the second part of the Versi trilogy, dedicated to the fragile ones struggling to open.
Italian bergamot oil and Egyptian cumin oil open the extrait bright and carnal at the same moment. Fresh cyclamen and magnolia bring a cool floral touch, while orange blossom briefly shows a warmer side.
Metallic rose and peach then combine sharpness with soft pulp. The rose doesn't smell like a classic bouquet; it has a cool edge, and the fruit next to it acts like living tissue between metal and flower.
Anne Sophie Baeghel finds inspiration in Sylvia Plath's poem "Edge," published in 1965. The fragrance is a tribute to people struggling with their own demons and needing more space to let the light in.
Indian papyrus oil, raw Indonesian patchouli oil, Virginian cedarwood oil, and cashmere wood later create a dry, dark foundation. The flowers recede, and the metallic rose remains like a cool echo.
On the hand-engraved plaque of the bottle are the snakes from the poem. Below them is a metallic rose between cumin, peach, papyrus, raw patchouli, and the edge of darkness — a perfume for those who have come a long way, though the journey still hurts.
