Palindrome I

Lemon and mandarin depart, frankincense and balsams take over the story, and then the citrus light unexpectedly returns from the other side. SANTI BURGAS Palindrome I is conceived as a fragrance that can be read forwards and backwards.

Sicilian lemon and Sicilian mandarin open the Eau de Parfum brightly, juicy, and with enough bitter rind. Cocoa beans soon add a dry, dark texture, as the first hint that the citrus opening will not remain linear.

Somalian frankincense, tolu balsam, Ethiopian opoponax, and Andalusian labdanum then create a warm, protective heart. The resins act like a mantra: they are dense, intoxicating, and calm, but the light still moves beneath them.

Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Santi Burgas designed the formula as the first true perfume palindrome. It's not about a literal repetition of notes, but a structure where the initial impression is re-read from the end.

Ambrette seeds, vanilla bean tincture, sandalwood, and Venezuelan tonka soften the base. When the wood becomes richest, the citrus spark suddenly reappears and closes the circle.

Palindrome I is not an ordinary citrus-amber perfume with frankincense. It is Sicilian lemon passing through cocoa, opoponax, labdanum, vanilla, and sandalwood and then returning — a fragrant sentence that reads the same from both ends.
