Osmanthus Bulgarian Rose Rum Mandarin Poplar Buds Wormwood Labdanum Patchouli

Composed by Rodrigo Flores-Roux & Santi Burgas

The small yellow petal can smell of apricot, leather, and animal trace in the same breath. SANTI BURGAS Palindrome III takes this contradiction of osmanthus and amplifies it until the scent begins to oscillate between sunny fruitiness and sticky darkness.

Mandarin opens the composition with a clear, juicy light. Alongside it, osmanthus flower and absolute perform different tasks: the former acts brighter and like a ripe apricot, the latter deeper, leathery and almost animalistic.

Rodrigo Flores-Roux and Santi Burgas did not try to smooth out this contrast. Jamaican rum and davana add a fermented, warm sweetness, while Bulgarian rose gives the composition a neat floral line that briefly keeps the opulence in check.

Black olive here is not a gastronomic trick. It brings a salty, dark accent that makes the scent somewhat strange and unforgettable. Then labdanum, poplar buds, and patchouli cast everything into a resinous, balsamic shadow.

On the skin, the fruity side does not suddenly fade; it peeks through the dark base, creating the impression of an apricot left next to a glass of rum on a leather table. If you are looking for a gentle, shampoo-like floral scent, this olive-resinous depth might be too much for you.

Palindrome III is most captivating when you can no longer decide whether the osmanthus smells bright or dangerous—each new inhale turns the same image on its side.
