Composed by Christian Carbonnel

Green forest after rain, a bite of a crisp apple, and soft fur: ZOOLOGIST Panda manages to combine these three images without smelling like a zoo. It is playful, but beneath the cheerfulness, there is damp earth and a subtle animalistic unease.

Apple, mandarin, and ozonic freshness open it juicily and brightly. Magnolia, lily, and osmanthus immediately soften the edges, so the fruit doesn't feel like candy but rather as part of dense, dewy vegetation.

Christian Carbonnel guides the scent towards bamboo and tea, where it becomes cooler, greener, and calmer. Jasmine and iris provide floral finesse but don't take over the scene; the main thing is the feeling of walking through a shady corridor of leaves.

Later, earthy notes, patchouli, and sandalwood appear, along with amber, vanilla, and musk rounding out the composition. The civet effect and musk are created with synthetic materials, without animal ingredients, and serve as skin warmth beneath the greenery.

The development is interesting precisely because of the transitions: the smiling fruity freshness gradually acquires a dirtier, shadier foundation. It's not ideal if you want a strictly minimalist green scent or a pure apple; Panda intentionally carries many textures at once.

In the end, creamy sandalwood covered in earth remains, while the apple occasionally reappears from the bamboo — like a black and white animal you briefly lost among the wet stalks.
