Cardamom and dried fruits provide a warm, aromatic opening. The fruit is neither juicy nor childishly sweet; it feels concentrated, almost chewy, while cardamom weaves a cooler spicy thread through it.
Jean Claude Delville places night-blooming tuberose, saffron flower, and tobacco blossom at the heart. Tuberose brings a creamy richness, saffron a dry warmth, and tobacco a floral, slightly shadowy character without the image of a lit cigarette.
