A red silk dress can leave a stronger impression than an entire room full of jewelry. JACQUES FATH Red Shoes transforms that impression into a dazzling, floral-woody perfume that combines cool metallic shimmer and luxurious red warmth.

Blackcurrant, red berries, and grapefruit open the composition fresh and juicy. Aldehydes weave a shimmering, almost metallic line through the fruits, making the first spray feel like a reflection on satin.

The Damask rose in the heart is full and elegant, but geranium maintains its green sharpness. Ginger and pink pepper add a cool, spicy spark that gives the perfume movement and prevents the rose from becoming still or nostalgic.

The inspiration comes from the 1948 film The Red Shoes, for which Jacques Fath designed costumes for ballerina Moira Shearer, and the opulent red silk dress of the same name later worn by Bettina.

Cécile Zarokian builds the drydown with patchouli, cashmere wood, and musk. The earthy depth of patchouli meets soft wood and leather, leaving a strong, smooth, and long-lasting trail.

Red Shoes is not a discreet rose or a carefree fruity perfume. It is a red dress of rose and patchouli, stitched with aldehydes and cool ginger — elegant, sensual, and made to be noticed.

This scent is luxurious. I'm not usually a big fan of red fruit notes, but here they are so different that I fell in love with the perfume. Grapefruit and aldehydes balance the red berries and blackcurrant very well, giving it a sparkling opening. Damask rose adds a lovely, floral and elegant touch.
