Crushed grass under a boot, a ripe peach in hand, and the sun-warmed metal of reins: SARAH BAKER Riders doesn't observe horseback riding from a salon; instead, it plunges you directly into hay, leather, and horse air.

Grass, bergamot, and lily-of-the-valley open the composition green and fresh. The stems feel broken, not neatly arranged, and a peach soon introduces a ripe, soft sweetness to this sharp beginning.

Ashley Eden Kessler places hay, leather, and the accord of metallic horse equipment at the center. This is the most important contrast of the scent: the dry warmth of the stable meets cold metal, while the peach lends an almost tactile juiciness to the scene.

On the skin, leather, vetiver, and tobacco gradually intertwine with amber, musk, and fir. The base expands like an open space but retains a refined, perfumed construction.

Riders is not for you if you want leather to be clean, new, and without an animal association with horses. Here, hay, grass, and metal give it life, while peach prevents the whole thing from becoming rough or strictly masculine.

Towards the end, warm leather sprinkled with hay remains, with a thin metallic sheen and a hint of peach—like a glove taken off just after returning from a long ride.
