Bitter orange provides a brief, sharp flash, but the blood accord immediately changes the composition's color. The impression becomes iron-like, dark, and corporeal, without pleasant citrusy cheerfulness.

Miguel Matos and Daniele Muratori Caputo arrange three facets of rose: black Taif, Damask, and Centifolia. One appears dark and dry, another rich, the third softer and more expansive; together, they do not form a classic romantic bouquet.

Burnt paper and incense weave smoke through the petals. Damp earth then grounds the entire scene, so the roses on the skin look as if they have fallen to the ground after the last message turned to ash.
