Sang Bleu

Cologne freshness here puts on a leather jacket and goes out into the seventies night. LE GALION Sang Bleu starts with citrus and aromatics, but beneath its neat fougère lines lies a darker, almost animalic character.

Bergamot provides a vibrant flash, while pink pepper and galbanum let a spicy, green draft through it. The freshness is reminiscent of eau de cologne, but it has no intention of remaining merely light.

Nejla Barbir renewed an unfinished formula by Paul Vacher from the early seventies, created while Vacher was working on Eau Noble. The historical foundation is felt in its confident, unreservedly masculine fougère demeanor.

Lavandin and geranium create a strong aromatic accord, while jasmine, patchouli, and leather intermingle with its clean lines. Musk provides body and draws the freshness closer to the skin.

As it develops, the citrus subsides, and the greenery takes on a leathery and earthy shade. If you want a carefree, short cologne or a contemporary sweet male perfume, Sang Bleu will feel too strict and too retro for you.

In the drydown, lavandin remains on the skin, streaked with galbanum and pink pepper — blue blood with a blush, like a decadent evening that began with a perfectly neat citrus.
