Seahorse

Tuberose and seaweed sound like a pair that has no business being on the same dance floor. ZOOLOGIST Seahorse proves otherwise: a white flower floats through a salty lagoon, among algae, corals, and warm flashes of sun.

Guatemalan cardamom and fennel open the composition aromatically, with a cool spicy breath. Ambrette absolute and clary sage add a soft, seed-like, and slightly musky tone.

Julien Rasquinet builds the fragrance through unexpected pairs: tuberose with seaweed, sage with neroli, fennel with vetiver. Like in the dance of seahorses, each element relies on a partner that shifts its balance.

Tuberose, neroli, and seaweed absolute form a heart that is both floral and briny. Vetiver underneath provides a rooty dryness, and an amber accord leaves a mineral, marine warmth.

On the skin, the salty tone doesn't behave like a sporty aquatic, but rather like water around a vibrant coral garden. If you're looking for transparent freshness without floral fullness, tuberose might be too strange for you. The amber accord is synthetic, and no animal products were used.

In the finish, fennel remains alongside vetiver, while tuberose and seaweed still sway together — two intertwined tail spirals in turquoise water.
