You remember a secret encounter by a detail: the warmth of skin, the sharp spice in the air, the wood of doors that closed quietly. THE GATE Secret Encounter builds just such a memory, from teasing to a long amber trail.
Ginger, davana, and pink pepper open the fragrance spicy and vibrant. Ginger provides a spark, pepper a prickle, and davana a fruity-herbal, somewhat liqueur-like warmth.
The House of The Gate signs a composition where jasmine sambac meets sage, tonka, and leather. Jasmine is dense and narcotic, but sage weaves aromatic dryness through it, while leather introduces a more intimate darkness.
On the skin, cedarwood, patchouli, and amber warm up with vanilla. Tonka leaves a bittersweet transition between the floral heart and the comfortable resinous base.
If you want airy jasmine or pure spicy freshness, Secret Encounter will probably be too warm and intimate for you. Leather, patchouli, and a sweet base deliberately create the impression of a space where two people remained, not a summer garden.
Towards the end, vanilla on cedar and a trace of jasmine over leather remain — the scent of a secret no one mentions anymore, but the room has not yet forgotten.
