Composed by Joshua Clover
At first glance, you see a flower; only when you get closer do you discover a thorn and something dangerous hidden beneath the petals.
VAPORMUNDUM Serpent transforms the innocence of a rose into an alluring threat.
Rose thorn, geranium, and green leaves act fresh, sharp, and almost moist. Petrichor evokes the earth after rain, while the floral side of the composition still preserves the illusion of tenderness.
Then saffron, snakeskin, and poison appear. Olibanum and elemi resin spread a cold, penetrating smoke around the rose, until you can no longer separate the flower from the danger that accompanies it.
Perfumer Joschka Klee leaves Serpent on the skin like a smooth scale over a warm pulse: dry, leathery, and disturbingly attractive.
