Composed by Claude Deer

George Zaharoff took the success of Tabac perfume and asked a simple question: what would happen if we added leather to it? ZAHAROFF Leather Tabac answers this question with smoke, spices, plum, and three different leather textures.

Rosemary, sage, pepper, and star anise open the Eau de Parfum aromatically and dry. Plum and birch tar immediately add dark fruitiness and smoke, so the opening has a vintage feel without dusty stiffness.

Cumin and rose otto bring in bodily warmth, while myrrh provides a bitter balsamic depth. Tobacco then spreads through the heart: it is earthy, dense, and robust enough to withstand the leather without disappearing behind it.

Claude Dir and Mane build the formula as Zaharoff's idea of "leather and tobacco fetish." Suede provides softness, the classic leather accord provides firmness, and birch tar gives a smoky, almost scorched surface.

Golden patchouli and vanilla bean later warm the trail. The sweetness remains beneath the dry leather and tobacco, more like a polished edge than a gourmand finish, while myrrh extends a resinous shadow.

Leather Tabac is not for someone who wants discreet suede or sweet tobacco. It is tobacco in leather soaked with plum, birch tar, myrrh, and anise — a vintage armchair moved from a gentleman's club to a private fetish room.
