Silent Rain

The storm stopped mid-sentence, and the wet street began to steam. ALMOST HUMAN Silent Rain is an extract of the scent of the world a few minutes after the rain, seen through the eyes of a child who feels no need to explain anything.

Wet concrete carries a cold, mineral moisture, while a green haze spreads freshness in front of it. There are no citruses or flowers to make the scene more perfumed; at its center is the street itself.

Goran Bajazetov binds the composition to a narrow crack in time: a child with wet hair and shoes full of water watches the droplets on the rooftops, completely stopped in the peace that remained after the storm.

Warm earth steam rises from the ground, clean and slightly blurred by the sun passing through the clouds. This warm layer gradually softens the hardness of the concrete and brings the scent closer to the skin.

As it develops, fading sunlight and still air remain as abstract, airy traces. If you want a dramatic rainy ozone or a sweet petrichor scent, Silent Rain will be more restrained and almost meditative.

In the end, what remains is not the storm, but a warm street, a drop on the cheek, and still air that seems to seek a voice — the world is close for a moment and quite enough.
