After endless stone steps and cold rain, the morning reveals the Himalayas completely covered in white. JUL ET MAD Stairway to Heaven is the extract of that moment: the air sparkles, muscles ache, and incense rises towards the peaks.
Aldehydes, bergamot, and sweet orange open the composition like snow under a bright sun. The freshness is pure and almost dazzling, more of a white surface than juicy citrus fruit.
Cécile Zarokian finds inspiration on the journey from Pokhara to Annapurna, amidst multi-day treks, high passes, and an internal search for the boundary one can still cross. An evening resembling a scene from Twin Peaks precedes the morning miracle.
As many as eight white musks create a cloud around the skin, while olibanum and a gunpowder accord add smoke, minerality, and a slight danger. Vanilla, patchouli, ambroxan, and cashmeran provide warmth beneath the snow.
If you desire a thick churchy resin from incense or carefree cheerfulness from citrus, this cold musky extract takes a different path. On the skin, the sparkle gradually transforms into a soft, dry, and long-lasting white trail.
Towards the end, olibanum remains on cashmeran, with gunpowder dust over eight musks — the last step underfoot as Annapurna catches the first sun.
