Composed by Delphine Thierry
Night here does not fall quietly; it thickens shadows, blurs edges, and releases an animal warmth from the skin. MAJDA BEKKALI Tendre Est la Nuit - Obscur is a dark chypre extract that simultaneously offers comfort and a slight threat.
Corsican immortelle, ambrette, and davana open the composition aromatically, warmly, and somewhat liquor-like. Sichuan pepper gives an electric jolt, while carrot and cabreuva introduce a dry, rooty texture.
Delphine Thierry uses the olfactive language of the twenties, but without a museum-like stiffness. The story evokes Zelda stepping into her tender night and sweet madness, leaving behind the brutal light of reality.
Benzoin and labdanum warm the skin, atlas cedar, and incense. Oakmoss and patchouli preserve the chypre structure, while castoreum and civet push the finish towards sophisticated animality.
On the skin, immortelle lingers long, golden, and dry above a dark base. If you want clean skin, tender ambrette, or a conventionally pleasant night perfume, Obscur will be too dangerous and carnal for you.
In the end, immortelle remains on moss, with a civet pulse and the ashes of incense — a night where whispers become clearer precisely because all other sounds have faded.
