Composed by Dorothee Piot

A wrong step on the pavement can look like a bow if performed by the right person. JUL ET MAD Terrasse à St-Germain captures that very Parisian moment: a glance across the terrace, a brief awkwardness, a smile, and the scent left by a passerby.

Fig and floral notes feel fresh, soft, and spring-like, like a breeze that carries the scent of surrounding greenery across conversations on a café terrace. There’s no noisy introduction; the allure is built by a glance.

Dorothée Piot connects the composition to an encounter in Saint-Germain. An elegant silhouette crosses the boulevard, stumbles, disappears, and then unexpectedly returns to the table — enough material for imagination to turn into reality in a single second.

On the skin, sandalwood, Indonesian patchouli, and musk blend into a warm, woody trail. The softness remains ambiguous: at once gentle and virile, simple and elusive.

If you're looking for a loud fruity fig or an overtly sweet Parisian perfume, this composition will be too restrained for you. Its character lies in a presence that is felt without being imposed, like a stranger whom the entire terrace notices.

In the end, musk on sandalwood remains, and a faint trace of fig — the sound of footsteps approaches again, and the daydream gets a face before you could look away.
