Lily of the Valley Aldehydes Bergamot Rosemary Rose Jasmine Musk Orris butter Vetiver Animalic notes Ambergris Amber Oakmoss

Composed by Christian Carbonnel & Sultan Pasha

The gates of an Egyptian tomb open to death, but bergamot and white flowers still seep through the crack. SULTAN PASHA Thebes is an extract of the transition between light and shadow, root and petal, comfort and unrest.

Bergamot, aldehydes, and lily of the valley provide a bright, almost sparkling entrance. Rosemary introduces an aromatic dryness, like air stirring in a room long sealed by stone.

Christian Carbonnel and Sultan Pasha build the composition on the image of an ancient Theban tomb and the path between life and death. It is intended for inner search and comfort, but also works without symbolism if its strong contrast appeals to you.

Iris butter and earthy vetiver form a darker, rooty axis, while rose and jasmine elevate the brighter floral side. Moss, amber, and ambergris connect the two spaces in a long, quiet transition.

Musk and animalic tones on the skin provide a warmth that makes the scene less archaeological and more human. If you want a pure powdery iris or a cheerful jasmine, Thebes will be too dark and animalic for you.

In the end, iris root remains in the moss, while jasmine still shines above the amber – the tomb gives no answer, but precisely shows where shadow touches light.
