Composed by Shadi Samra
Espresso without a cup or caffeine, but with caramel, leather, and cool mint. HORMONE PARIS This is Not Caffeine uses the olfactory language of alertness: dark coffee raises the composition's pulse, while wood and resins keep the energy in check.
Caramel, cinnamon, and sage open sweet, spicy, and aromatic. Coconut provides a creamy surface, and peppermint delivers a cool cut that slices through the warmth like a first clear breath.
Shadi Samra places tonka bean, ginger, cypriol, and dark coffee at the heart. Ginger enhances movement, cypriol introduces a dry, earthy shade, and coffee remains a bitter core instead of just an edible garnish.
Jasmine softens the transition towards benzoin, leather, and cedar. Vanilla absolute and amber warm the base, transforming the initial spark into a deep, smoky, and long-lasting trail.
The name describes the concept, not an actual stimulant. If you want a photorealistic cup of coffee without sweetness, caramel and coconut will be too much for you; if you're looking for a light gourmand, leather and cypriol will give it too much darkness.
Towards the end, a residue of dark coffee remains on cedar, with leather, vanilla, and a single cool mint leaf — energy without caffeine, but by no means without nerve.
