Composed by Bertrand Duchaufour
Before knowledge was written down, it was transmitted through voice, ritual, and repetition. NEELA VERMEIRE TRAYEE is a tribute to the Vedic age and the idea of India shaped by spirituality, temples, Ayurveda, yoga, and the search for understanding.
The name is pronounced "try-ee" and signifies the trinity of the first three Vedas: Rig, Yajur, and Sama. The fragrance does not literally depict this ancient structure but transforms it into a dense network of flowers, spices, wood, and resins.
Ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom open the composition with a warm, lively motion. Elemi, blackcurrant, and basil introduce a resinous freshness and a darker green contrast.
Sandalwood connects saffron, clove, and jasmine with frankincense, myrrh, and oud. Amber, vanilla, Virginia cedar, vetiver, oakmoss, and patchouli build an exceptionally layered, meditative base.
Trayee is a 60ml Eau de Parfum created by Bertrand Duchaufour. It will suit you if you desire a complex, resinous, and spicy fragrance that reveals itself over a long time; it's not for you if you are looking for linear freshness or a simple sandalwood scent.
