Star Anise Cypress Cherry Blossom Almond Malt Frangipani White Suede Tonka Vanilla

Composed by Delphine Thierry

Toledo in spring here smells of cherry blossom, almond paste, and light suede. MAJDA BEKKALI Tulaytulah - Clair is a gourmand extract that conveys a message of peace through delicate florality, creamy almond, and neat leather warmth.

Cherry blossom, cypress, and star anise open the composition brightly, greenly, and lightly spiced. Bitter almond just below them provides a cut that keeps the sweetness from being completely soft.

Tulay-Tulah is the Arabic and Hebrew name for Toledo, the city of three cultures on a rock above the Tagus River. The period of La Convivencia, when Jews, Christians, and Muslims lived together there, becomes for Majda Bekkali a symbol of harmony and a message of peace.

Almond paste and malt create a creamy gourmand core. Leather, Atlas cedar, and light suede give it form, while tonka and vanilla leave a warm, soft finish.

On the skin, the cherry blossom gradually retreats into almond and suede. If you want a fresh floral perfume or a dry leather extract, Clair will be too creamy for you; its sensuality is gentle, yet very present.

Towards the end, almond paste remains on light suede, with anise and a cherry petal — Toledo in spring, seen through the open doors of three different sacred spaces.
