Composed by Thomas Fontaine

Here, the tulip first smells of green lacquer and a freshly cut stem, only later of the flower itself. LE GALION Tulipe behaves like a Dutch still life: everything is still, but the fruit, petals, and wooden table have their own tension.

Tulip, acacia, and galbanum open the composition crisp, green, and almost lacquered. Acacia provides a soft floral warmth, while galbanum enhances the stem's sap.

Thomas Fontaine created Tulipe for Le Galion in 2020, as a new composition and a nod to Paul Vacher's artistic inclination. The image is precise: stems, peeled fruit, and flowers patiently arranged on a sturdy wooden table.

Jasmine, ylang-ylang, and narcissus lead to iris, while musk and cedarwood frame the entire arrangement with a modern, clean touch. Jasmine simultaneously gives a fruity and sensual nuance.

On the skin, the lacquered green softens, but the tulip remains cooler than a classic bouquet. If you're looking for sweet flowers or a delicate spring scent, galbanum and narcissus might be too sharp for you.

Towards the end, a tulip stem remains on a cedar table, with iris powder and a drop of jasmine — a still life that doesn't move, but still smells of freshly peeled greenery.
