Composed by Margaux Le Paih Guerin
Self-confidence becomes interesting only when it crosses the line of reason and continues despite possible failure. ART BRÜT Übermut smells like that step: effervescent, green, mineral, and strange enough that certainty no longer seems appealing.
Champagne, seaweed, and flint open the composition sparkling, salty, and cold. Flint provides a dry mineral flash, like a spark of an idea that others will first declare a mistake.
Margaux Le Paih Guerin uses angelica root, galbanum, and green notes in the middle. Cucumber introduces a watery crispness, while the stem enhances the feeling of a plant cut in motion.
On the skin, davana, sandalwood, and suede connect with ambroxan. Davana brings a warm fruity-herbal shade, and suede a soft finish beneath the sharp greenery.
If you want a conventional fresh scent or a neat marine aquatic, Übermut will be too mineral and galbanum-harsh for you. The formula is vegan, cruelty-free, and CITES compliant, without endangered and protected plant species.
Towards the end, flint remains in a champagne glass, with wet algae and a green stem — failure is still possible, but standing still now smells worse.
