Composed by Christian Carbonell
A sea without blue exists where salt, air, and sun create a green patina on copper. KINETIC Verdigris deconstructs the classic chypre and returns it in the cool green-grey color of a Mediterranean roof.
Orange, lemon, bergamot, and lime are not the main stars, but a discreet bright background. Jasmine and calone quickly cover them with a moist, almost white sea glow.
Christian Carbonell arranges freesia, cyclamen, violet, rose, and mignonette into a silky floral bouquet. Coriander and nutmeg add spicy notes, making the flowers interesting and appetizing without sweetness.
On the skin, amber, patchouli, and oakmoss merge with cedar and musk. The chypre base provides resonance and earthiness, while calone remains cool like salt on the wind.
If you want a classic citrus chypre or blue aquatic, Verdigris will be too green, floral, and mineral for you. The sea here is born at the junction of land and air, not in waves.
Towards the end, cold salt remains on moss and a copper roof, with mignonette and coriander in the air — a patina that is not a sign of decay, but the most beautiful color of the entire surface.
