Weona

The icy Pacific and scorching lava collide here without any mitigation. SPIRITICA Weona smells like a wind that has swept across the sea, black rocks, and damp Patagonian forest — cold, salty, and at the same time unusually alive.

The opening combines blueberry and maqui with pineapple and grapefruit, but the result is not a tropical cocktail. The fruit appears dark and cool, and the glacial sea breeze immediately takes away its sweetness. The maritime pine keeps the whole picture upright and green.

The inspiration comes from the Chilean island of Chiloé, from a landscape where the lava of the Michinmahuida volcano reached the icy ocean. In this story, Pincoya, a female sea spirit of local lore, also appears. Here, it is not just an ornamental legend: the contrast of water and fire defines the entire fragrance.

Arturetto Landi builds the heart from nalca, calafate, and lavender, while the boiling lava accord brings mineral warmth beneath the wet greenery. You don't get a smoky volcanic bomb, but the impression of heated rock over which a cold wave is just passing.

On the skin, the fruit gradually recedes, leaving aquatic and white musk, cypress, sandalwood, and ambergris. The star anise accord further emphasizes the salty, almost tactile side of the composition. As an extrait, it develops densely and lasts long; a few sprays are truly enough here.

If you're looking for a cheerful marine fragrance for the beach, Weona might be too dark and strange for you. Its place is not on white sand, but on the black coast of Punta Chane, where steam still rises between the ocean and the lava.
