Composed by Miguel Matos
An 80s computer tries to fall in love, but it only has plastic, cheap wine, and overheated circuits at its disposal. MIGUEL MATOS Electric Dreams smells like digital hormones that completely misunderstand the feeling – and that's what makes it fun.
Metallic citrus, tutti-frutti soda, and banana open the extrait artificially, colorfully, and explosively. Cheap wine and plastic flowers immediately dispel any idea of a natural fruity perfume.
Strawberry chewing gum further enhances the retro sweetness, while Ambrocenide and Iso E Super create a dry, technological space. Leather and clean laundry act as two confused interpretations of human closeness.
Miguel Matos loosely ties the composition to the story of a computer in love with a musician neighbor. This is his first completely synthetic formula, a retro-futuristic blend of old and new molecules.
The smoke of an overheated computer later darkens the fruit and plastic. The banana remains like a yellow pixel, while leather, laundry, and woody materials create a strange, warm finish.
Electric Dreams is not a realistic banana perfume. It's banana in tutti-frutti soda, plastic, and the smoke of an overheated computer – the future as the eighties imagined it before the internet.
