Miguel Matos is an independent Portuguese niche perfume house founded by self-taught perfumer Miguel Matos in Almada in 2019. As a perfumer, writer, and former editor of Fragrantica, Matos approaches scent in a highly personal way. Many compositions are autobiographical and serve as chapters of his own story, rather than responses to market trends.

Miguel Matos Perfumes draws inspiration from French vintage perfumery, especially the chypre tradition, whose classic structures he modifies with contemporary and often unexpected touches. The perfumes are produced in small batches and bear a strong authorial signature, placing the house in the realm of extremely niche, artisanal perfumery. Matos is a two-time recipient of the Art and Olfaction Award. On the skin, Miguel Matos remains distinctly personal, even when consciously engaging with perfumery's past.
